László Forró, professor of EPFL in Switzerland, external member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and one of the most prominent solid-state physicists of Hungarian origin, has strong ties to BME. His research focuses on strongly correlated novel materials, and includes interdisciplinary fields as well, such as ageing, and the research of oxidative stress. In recent years, his results in unconventional perovskite-based photvoltaic materials raised international interest. He has co-authored more than 600 publications and 5 book chapters, which attracted almost 25 000 citations.
