Arrival by plane
Take a taxi to town from the exit of your terminal at the Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Taxis from the airport work for fixed transport prices in the range of 25 EUR. Another option is the Airport Shuttle Minibus, that takes you to your destination conveniently for a somewhat cheaper, fixed price. Follow the signs at the airport to their office to buy a ticket.
Arrival by bus to Népliget
Taxis park by the bus station. (Ask for the price before you take a cab.) If you choose to take public transportation, take metro line M3 to Kálvin tér. Change here to metro line M4 in the direction of Kelenföld vasútállomás. Get out at Szent Gellért tér and walk down on the Budafoki street to the institute.
Arrival by train
You can always find a taxi at the main entrance of the railway station. Negotiate the price before you take the cab. You can also take public transportation. Tickets are valid for ONE ride on ONE bus or tram line you may change only between metro lines. Here are the ways you can get to the department: From Keleti railway station: take metro line M4 (green signs) to Szent Gellért tér. From Nyugati railway station: take metro line M3 to Kálvin tér (direction kőbánya-Kispest). Change to metro line M4 in the direction of Kelenföld vasútállomás. Get out at Szent Gellért tér and walk down on the Budafoki street to the institute. From Déli railway station: take tram 18 to Gárdonyi tér. The Departement is in walking distance from Gárdonyi tér (see map below).
